As an effort to revive Starbuck’s struggling business they have launched a new website, MyStarbucksIdea.com, asking people for their suggestions and ideas. Hundreds of customers have submitted their suggestions by the thousands.

Google took another jab at Microsoft with the launch of a product that will compete directly with Microsoft Word. Google Docs, is a web based application to write, edit and store word-processing documents. The most recent upgrade is that the program can now be used as a desktop tool with no Internet connection.

Warner Music Group will be teaming up with MySpace to launch a joint music venture. The social networking site will allow people to listen to music and watch videos for free, as well as buy merchandise, concert tickets, and music through downloads. More labels will soon follow Warner’s lead and join the partnership later this year.

Intel has just launched 5 new Intel Atom processors at its most recent developer forum in Shanghai. The processors will help drive the new category of mobile internet devices (Mids). Mids focus on functions such as navigation, communications, entertainment and productivity applications.

The Morgans Hotel will be closing May 18, 2008 for a $9 million revamping of its lobby and guest rooms. French designer Andree Putnam, who designed the hotel 20 years ago, will be in charge of re-designing the space.

An iMac owner sued Apple claiming the 20-inch iMac desktop can’t display the millions of colors apple promises. iMac monitors can only display 262,144 true colors. This could cause problems for people editing pictures and video because the colors don’t always appear entirely smooth.
